An Update...

Sun May 2, 2004, 11:21 AM
I need a lot of prayers for help right now...I am currently losing my Army ROTC scholarship for medical reasons. I attend the University of Colorado, Boulder. Without that scholarship, I can't afford to go here anymore. I didn't get the job I was applying for and if I transfer back to California, I will have to spend a possible 3 more years in college, which in the end is going to be just as expensive, just a delay. I'm almost done with my degree here, I don't qualify for financial aid and if i take a semester off to earn some money, i lose my medical insurance. I'm in a little bit of a bind. I don't want people to donate me money, i just need prayers: they are more potent than money ever could be. thanks.

Have you ever had a dream, that you were so sure was real? What if you were unable to wake from that dream? How would you know the difference between the dream world and the real world?

What you know you can't explain, but you feel it. You've felt it your entire deviant life, that there's something wrong with the story. You don't know what it is, but it's there, like a splinter in your mind, driving you mad.

You take the blue pill, the story ends. Your browser closes and you believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill, you stay in wonderland. And, I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes.

I offer only the truth, nothing more.

Take: The Red Pill
Take: The Blue Pill

Fella Point Right spyed, nobody has ever done this before.
Ninja Point Right I know. That's why it's going to work.

Of course there are things that make absolute sense, and that which is absolute nonsense. But I don't think in the postmodern age there really exists specific categories of things which one should or should not understand anymore. It's one of the infinite number of reasons I love writing. Make every word a symbol and you can sublimate life into art - transcending reality. Deconstruct and in their most stripped forms, the words can be thrown together in subtle chaos to create a seemingly random but eerily familiar picture. It's really about the skill of arrangement. Though I would still like to see the other poetry you have, but when you're comfortable showing them, of course.

Oh goodness I've rambled so much. Thank you for the reply. My hand has been healing at an unexpectedly fast rate, though for somebody who longs to write or sketch it seems amazingly slow. (And I'm quite impatient) Just grateful because it must be the prayers at work.

God bless,
Elizabeth

Wow what a nice long thought you left for me! I feel I can connect with many here but many seem to refuse to connect to me in words. So I can only let my mind wander in [hopefully] the direction their work takes me.

I would be really interested in seeing the rest of your poetry, if you don't mind showing me! I thought the fact that you started with the book of Revelations was amazing. I was the biggest cynic/skeptic before I was saved, so I doubt I would have been able to hold all of it in. It would have confused me so much. I had a list of all the books of Scripture in chronological order, so I studied them in that way, but while starting with Matthew at the same time (just for encouragement). ^__^ I don't think that really made sense.

I haven't been online lately because I have to type much faster, and at the moment I have a burned hand that's just starting to heal.
